HAIR TREATMENTS: HOW TO...

When transitioning or if already in the natural state, your hair needs time to time treatments and attention. I will be illustrating how to make some home made products.

1. DEEP CONDITIONER.
  •  1/4 cup honey and 1/4 cup olive oil.Image result for olive oilImage result for honey

Be sure to mix properly and apply evenly to your hair. You should be expecting a little drip but you can wrap your hair with a wet towel or just cover with a processing cap for 30 mins. Rinse off and voila!

2. HOT OIL TREATMENT. This is quite easy to do. You will need oils(jojoba, sesame, olive, coconut, sweet almond, castor avocado or argan).    Image result for olive oil        Image result for COCONUT OIL
  • Choose whichever oil you want to use.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of the oil into a bowl ( for dandruff mix 1-2 drops of tea tree oil)
  • Boil water in a pot and remove when fully boiled
  • Place the bowl into the hot water until the oil is warm enough. be sure to test on your skin i order not to burn your scalp.
  • Section your hair into parts and evenly distribute the oil mixture throughout each section
  • Carefully and gently massage the oil into your scalp and process for 30 mins.
For some of this treatments, you will need coconut oil which can also be easily extracted at home.

3. COCONUT OIL.     Image result for COCONUT OIL

  • Open the coconut and cut out the meat
  • Cut into  small pieces and blend
  • Use a normal kitchen filter or mesh drainer and filter the coconut milk as many times as possible.
  • Pour into a jar and leave for about 24hrs
  • At this point, the oil should start separating from it.
